For the past 90 years, the University of Hull has been contributing to changing people\u2019s way of thinking. The latin phrase \u2018lambada ferens\u2019 which means \u2018carrying the light of knowledge\u2019 has been the university\u2019s motto and over the years Hull has shared this light with thousands of individuals around the globe. As the 14th oldest university of England, it carries a proud tradition of academic excellency and a long history in the creation and inspiration of cutting-edge research.<\/p>\n

The university was established in 1927 under the name Hull University College and it began operating for the first time in 1928 with only 39 students and 14 faculties. Since then a lot has changed, as the University of Hull currently has now over 16,000 students, 2,500 staff and over 1,000 academics.<\/p>\n

Hull is located in the north east coast of England. It is part of East Yorkshire and is only a few miles away from the most beautiful countryside sites and coasts of the country. The town is pretty and lively as it has recently been reconstructed with impressive lights and fountains which can be found at Queen Victoria Square, a square inspired from Italian architecture surrounding the town\u2019s cathedral.<\/p>\n
