Birkbeck is a world leading university in Research and Teaching, a vibrant centre for academic excellence in addition to being the only higher education establishment in London which offers evening teaching. This means that students are free to study, work or engage in whatever else they like during day time.<\/p>\n

Birkbeck was founded in 1823 and became part of the prestigious federation \u201cUniversity of London\u201d in 1920. As lectures\/teaching is in the evening, many of our students work, intern or volunteer during the day which means that Birkbeck\u2019s graduates are more privileged in the competitive job market. They are recognized and highly valued by employers for their maturity independent mindedness, focus and determination.<\/p>\n

  • Consider the course content and not just its title \u2013 English at one university is not the same as English at another university.
